50 Tropf-Blumat sensors for individually controlled plant watering

The Tropf-Blumat, 50 pcs. pack is designed for expanding an existing Tropf-Blumat installation or building a larger watering system with numerous individual plants. Each Tropf-Blumat combines a moisture sensor and watering valve in a single unit and responds independently to moisture levels in the surrounding growing medium. This allows individual plants to receive water according to their actual requirements rather than following fixed intervals from a timer or electronic controller.

Watering controlled by moisture in the growing medium

The water-filled clay cone detects changes in moisture around the root zone. As the growing medium becomes drier, the sensor opens the valve and water is delivered to the plant through the drip tube. Once sufficient moisture has been restored, the water flow stops. Each Tropf-Blumat operates independently from the other watering points. Blumat recommends at least one sensor for each plant or container, with one sensor covering a growing-medium radius of approximately 20–25 cm.

50 sensors for larger and expandable installations

This bulk pack is particularly useful for layouts containing numerous individual containers or for substantially extending an existing system. Alongside the 50 sensors, the pack includes 50 8-3-8 mm T-pieces and a 20 cm length of 3 mm drip tube for each sensor. The T-pieces connect the individual sensor lines to the 8 mm main feed line. A suitable Blumat 8 mm Feeding Tube can be added according to the size and layout of your installation.

Choose the water supply to suit your installation

The Tropf-Blumat sensors connect to a central water supply. When using a mains water tap, a Blumat 1 bar Pressure Reducer can provide the appropriate operating pressure. Alternatively, Tropf-Blumat can be supplied from an elevated water tank. Additional fittings and components for building or extending the system are available with the Blumat irrigation systems and accessories.
