Hydroponic Research VBX Clean provides a straightforward approach to feeding plants throughout their vegetative and flowering stages. This water-soluble mineral powder combines essential plant nutrients in a single formula, removing the need to switch between separate grow and bloom fertilisers. Designed for reliable nutrient management, VBX Clean suits home growers as well as larger cultivation facilities using automated irrigation systems.

One-part nutrition with calcium, magnesium and fulvic acids

Building on the established Veg+Bloom nutrient concept, VBX Clean includes additional calcium and magnesium alongside its core mineral nutrients. Calcium contributes to strong plant structures, while magnesium is an essential component of chlorophyll and plays a key role in photosynthesis.

The formula also contains fulvic acids, which help support nutrient availability and uptake. This combination provides a practical nutritional foundation for vegetables, herbs and flowering crops. VBX Clean can be used in soil, coco coir and hydroponic growing systems.

Clean Chemistry for drip irrigation and hydroponics

VBX Clean features a microbe-free, low-dust formulation designed to dissolve readily in water. Its Clean Chemistry approach is particularly useful in irrigation systems where maintaining clear nutrient solutions and minimising deposits are important.

For drip irrigation and automated feeding installations, this formulation is intended to help reduce the risk of biofilm formation and blocked irrigation lines. Routine system maintenance and regular checks are still recommended to keep irrigation equipment operating correctly.

Simple mixing and controlled nutrient feeding

Preparing a nutrient solution is straightforward. Fill your reservoir with water, add the appropriate amount of VBX Clean and stir thoroughly for approximately 1–2 minutes. Check the pH after mixing and adjust the feeding strength according to the plants‘ development stage.

The feeding schedule specifies 8 g per 10 litres of water for seedlings and up to 18 g per 10 litres during flowering. These amounts should be considered alongside your source water quality and growing conditions. A pH and EC meter makes it easier to monitor acidity and nutrient concentration in the finished solution.

For additional phosphorus and potassium during flowering, VBX Clean can be combined with Hydroponic Research SHINE Clean, a complementary bloom additive developed for use alongside the VBX nutrient system.
