Lineage Amnesia Haze Strain

Amnesia Haze is a renowned sativa-dominant hybrid derived from the original Amnesia Haze lineage, a 70% Sativa / 30% Indica balance. That profile delivers bright, uplifting cerebral effects marked by energy, euphoria and mental clarity, while its indica background adds a subtle layer of physical ease.

With THC typically ranging from 18% to 22%, Amnesia Haze offers a stimulating yet balanced experience suited to daytime use and social settings. Its citrus-forward, pungent flavor and long-standing popularity in Dutch cannabis culture make it a widely recognized strain, often chosen to help manage stress and fatigue.

Origin

Amnesia Haze is a classic strain that originated in Amsterdam’s renowned seed banks within the Red Light District.

It has become a worldwide staple, winning multiple cannabis cups on both sides of the Atlantic. Its complex genetic background includes Afghani, Laotian, Jamaican and Hawaiian heritage, which shapes its distinctive flavor and effects.

The strain has also given rise to other popular varieties such as Amnesia Kush, Amnesia Blue Headband and Amnesia Lemon.

Amnesia Haze seeds are highly sought after for their robust genetics and consistent quality, keeping this legendary strain a favorite among growers and consumers alike.

Amnesia Haze Strain Awards

Amnesia Haze secured 1st Place in the Sativa Category at the 2012 High Times Cannabis Cup, a landmark that reinforced its reputation as one of the most celebrated sativa-dominant cultivars worldwide. Known for its complex terpene profile, vigorous growth and long-lasting cerebral effects, the win confirmed its elite standing.

Beyond that Cannabis Cup success, Amnesia Haze has earned multiple recognitions at Spannabis, one of Europe’s most prestigious competitions: 3rd Place in Bio Indoor (2011), 2nd Place in Hydro Indoor (2015) and 3rd Place in the Sativa Category (2018).

Amnesia Haze Sativa or Indica?

Many growers wonder whether Amnesia Haze is sativa or indica. It is predominantly sativa, 30% Indica / 70% Sativa, known for its energetic, uplifting effects. That sativa-dominant makeup shows in a cerebral high that enhances creativity, focus and a sense of euphoria.

Although it carries some indica traits from its Afghani lineage, the overall experience leans to the stimulating side of the spectrum.

Amnesia Haze seeds produce plants with classic sativa characteristics, such as a tall stature and thin leaves.

Amnesia Haze Strain Effects

Amnesia Haze is known for being creative, focused and hungry, a great choice for daytime use. As a sativa-dominant hybrid, it provides an energetic boost that enhances mood and creativity while offering a mild relaxation, without the heavy sedation of indica strains. Many users value how it stimulates the mind and promotes mental clarity.

Its buds deliver long-lasting effects that many find helpful against stress, fatigue and low mood. Effects vary from person to person.

Amnesia Haze Seeds Flowering Time

Amnesia Haze has a slightly longer flowering time than many strains, typically around 8 to 10 weeks to fully mature.

That extended window comes from its strong sativa genetics, which need more time for the buds to develop and reach their full potential. Despite the wait, growers are rewarded with large, dense buds rich in resin and flavor.

The longer flowering time is well worth the effort, given the high-quality yields and potent effects this strain delivers.

How to Grow Amnesia Haze Seeds?

Amnesia Haze feminized seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are moderately easy to grow and hardy, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:

• Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
• In our customers’ experience, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.

Indoors, use wide, vertical space and the ScrOG method for a uniform canopy and larger lower flowers. If you prefer to grow outdoors, our grow guide covers optimal cultivation anywhere in the world. Feed proper nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages, and indoors set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter. Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day.

These feminized plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.

Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for an October harvest, at about 24.69 to 28.22 oz per plant (700 to 800 g). Indoors, the flowering time runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 1.64 to 1.97 oz/ft² (500 to 600 g/m²).

Ideal Climate for Cultivating

Amnesia Haze prefers a tropical climate of hot summers and mild winters. The ideal temperature range is 70 to 80 ℉ (21 to 27 ℃). It needs consistent sunlight and does well with daytime humidity around 50% for optimal growth and yield. Annual rainfall of 20 to 40 inches (500 to 1,000 mm) suits it, and well-draining soil is a must to prevent waterlogging and root damage.

In the United States, suitable states include Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Florida. Northern states with a similar climate during the grow season, such as Oregon, Washington and parts of Colorado, can also support Amnesia Haze. Grown in these conditions, the strain brings out its full genetic potential for a high-quality harvest.

What does the Amnesia Haze Smell Like?

The buds of Amnesia Haze are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends citrus, pungent and sweet notes, the lively profile the strain is known for.

Amnesia Haze makes for a smooth, soft smoke with a happy, energetic character. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its citrus-forward, pungent profile.

Experiencing the Amnesia Haze Strain

With a Medium THC of 18% to 22%, Amnesia Haze brings a happy, focused and energized state that lifts the mood and sharpens concentration, leaving most users cheerful and uplifted. Many also turn to it for support with daytime fatigue and low mood.

It is a mostly sativa plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches, and it grows well indoors or outdoors, with a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

As a feminized, mostly sativa strain, Amnesia Haze has a flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks. Feeding the right nutrients at each stage helps develop resinous buds and trichomes.
