Terra Aquatica Silicate – support nutrient availability with natural minerals
Terra Aquatica Silicate is a natural silicate powder for supplementing plant nutrition in soil, coco and hydroponic systems. Suitable for new and experienced growers, it helps support nutrient availability alongside your regular feed. Choose a 1 L or 5 L pack to suit your needs.
Minerals and colloids alongside your base feed
The mineral blend contains silicon compounds, calcium and magnesium. Its natural colloids – very fine particles – support the exchange of positively charged nutrient ions, helping make nutrients available to plants. Use Silicate alongside your Terra Aquatica base nutrients, not as a replacement. It can also help stabilise nutrient solution pH and electrical conductivity (EC). Continue checking your solution with pH and EC meters.
Measuring and applying the powder
Although pack sizes are given in litres, Silicate is measured in grams when dosing. Add 4 g per 10 L of nutrient solution, or mix 4 g with 10 L of water for foliar spraying. Alternatively, apply approximately 4 g dry around the base of each plant. During flowering, limit foliar application to the first two weeks.
The powder is insoluble in water, so do not expect a completely clear, residue-free solution when mixing it.
Using Silicate with beneficial microorganisms
When using beneficial microorganisms such as Terra Aquatica TrikoLogic, apply Silicate only as a foliar spray or as a localised dry application at the plant’s stem base. Do not add it to the nutrient solution in this combination, as this may slow the establishment of beneficial microorganisms in the growing medium.
Dry storage and careful handling
Keep Silicate in its tightly closed original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid breathing dust and keep the product out of reach of children.
