Lineage Colombian Gold Autoflower

Colombian Gold Auto, from the cross between Colombian Gold and Ruderalis, is a mostly Sativa autoflowering strain (25% Indica / 75% Sativa). It tends to show a berry, earthy and sweet flavor with a bright, mostly Sativa effect.

It also carries a High THC of 21% – 25%, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a strong, happy experience. The name “Colombian Gold” comes from the distinctive golden-yellow hue, with orange and reddish hairs, that the buds develop as they mature and cure.

Colombian Gold Auto Origin

Colombian Gold Auto is built on the legendary landrace genetics of Colombia, alongside related varieties like Santa Marta Haze Auto. This autoflowering version preserves the essence of classic Colombian Gold, known for robust growth and resilience, with Ruderalis added to make an easy-to-grow plant suited to a range of climates.

While the original hails from the Santa Marta mountains, modern Colombian Gold Auto seeds come from expert breeders in Europe and the Americas, offering stable, consistent results that combine landrace heritage with autoflowering efficiency.

Colombian Gold Auto Sativa or Indica?

Colombian Gold Auto is predominantly sativa (25% Indica / 75% Sativa), carrying the uplifting, energetic effects of its landrace ancestors. Rooted in classic Colombian Gold, this auto version keeps its cerebral, creative character, which makes it ideal for daytime use.

The Ruderalis genetics shorten the cycle and boost resilience. Growers can expect thin leaves, a height of around 1.5 m (4.92 ft) and the open structure characteristic of sativa genetics. Despite its autoflowering nature, it retains the euphoric, mentally stimulating effects of the original.

Colombian Gold Auto Effects

Colombian Gold Auto delivers a euphoric, uplifting high, true to its sativa traits. Users report feeling creative, energetic and uplifted, which makes it ideal for social activities or artistic pursuits. Its clear-headed effect suits daytime use without heavy sedation.

Colombian Gold Auto Flowering Time

Thanks to its autoflowering genetics, Colombian Gold Auto has a shorter cycle than its photoperiod counterpart, typically taking 8 to 10 weeks from germination to harvest, a fast option for cultivators seeking efficiency.

That quick turnaround makes it ideal for multiple harvests per season. Whether grown indoors or outdoors, its consistency ensures reliable yields with minimal maintenance, and the Ruderalis genetics add adaptability for cultivating it in diverse environments.

How to Grow Colombian Gold Autoflower Seeds?

Colombian Gold Autoflower seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are moderately easy to grow and hardy, we should always prevent any pests. You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Colombian Gold Auto buds.
• Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
• Thanks to the experience of our customers with our Colombian Gold Auto seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%.

Autoflowering seeds are very popular among growers. They are known for their fast life cycle and their ability to flower automatically after a set period of time, rather than relying on changes in the light cycle. They can grow and flower with as little as 12 hours of light per day, and do not need a specific light change to move from the vegetative to the flowering stage. We recommend an 18/6 or 20/4 schedule to obtain high yields, which gives growers greater control over the process without worrying about light timing.

Even so, the plants should receive enough light for healthy growth, as light quality and quantity affect both yield and development. Their fast life cycle, 8-10 weeks from seed to harvest, means several harvests a year, and their compact size makes them ideal for small spaces or indoor grows. Genetics and growing conditions also play a big role in quality.

Remember that the plants need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period. When growing outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law.

Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ℉ and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. Colombian Gold Auto plants need low humidity to thrive: keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest.

Outdoors, in the Northern Hemisphere growers should sow their autoflowering seeds in April, achieving a first harvest in mid summer and a second between July and mid October. Healthy Colombian Gold Auto plants produce about 3.53 – 14.11 oz/plant | 100 – 400 gr/plant of buds each.

Indoors, these crops take 8 – 10 weeks from seed to harvest and produce about 1.64 – 1.8 oz/ft² | 500 – 550 gr/m².

Ideal Climate for Cultivating

Colombian Gold Auto is a hardy strain that flourishes in a tropical climate with minimal temperature fluctuations. The ideal range is 70-85 ℉ (21-29 ℃), which promotes healthy root development and boosts yield potential. High humidity should be avoided, as it can encourage mold and other diseases.

In the United States, ideal states include California, Nevada and Arizona, with their long sunny periods and limited rainfall, while Florida and Hawaii also suit it well thanks to mild winters and steady temperatures. In these conditions, Colombian Gold Auto expresses its full genetics for a bountiful harvest. As always, cultivate responsibly and in line with local regulations.

What does the Colombian Gold Autoflower Smell Like?

The buds of Colombian Gold Auto are rock hard, soaked in resin and carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes.

Its taste and aroma are a blend of berry, earthy and sweet notes, with sour lemon and lime, a touch of sweet skunk and an earthy background.

Colombian Gold Auto makes a delicious, smooth smoke and delivers a strong, happy experience. Thanks to its large resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high quality extracts and concentrates.
