Athena CaMg – extra calcium and magnesium when your plants need it
Athena CaMg is a liquid mineral calcium and magnesium supplement from the Athena Blended Line. It is designed for growers who need to adjust their existing base feed to meet higher nutrient demand. The formula also supplies iron and nitrogen, giving you a way to tailor your nutrient solution to your plants and growing conditions.
Designed to complement Athena Grow and Bloom
Use CaMg alongside the two-part base feeds Athena Grow A & B for vegetative growth and Athena Bloom A & B for flowering. It is a supplement, not a replacement for a complete base fertiliser. Both formulas already contain calcium and magnesium, so additional supplementation is not always necessary. CaMg provides flexibility when your plants require more.
Useful with RO water, coco and rockwool
Supplementation can be particularly helpful when using reverse osmosis water or growing in low-nutrient substrates such as coco and rockwool. Always take account of the nutrients already supplied by your water and base fertiliser when deciding whether to add CaMg.
The sediment-free mineral formulation is suitable for hand watering as well as automated irrigation and dosing systems. This allows you to incorporate CaMg into different watering setups.
Dosage and nutrient solution preparation
The metric Athena Blended feed schedule specifies 8–13 ml per 10 L of water for the scheduled CaMg applications. This is equivalent to 0.8–1.3 ml per litre. Use this rate as a starting point, adjusting the amount and application period to your feeding programme, water quality and plants’ actual requirements.
Shake the container before use and measure with clean equipment. Do not mix undiluted fertilisers or additives together. Check the EC, or electrical conductivity, of your nutrient solution and adjust the pH only after adding and mixing all components.
