Siberian Seeds Sativa or Indica?
Siberian is an indica-dominant strain, 80% Indica / 20% Sativa, offering a deeply relaxing, soothing experience. Its indica-heavy genetics make it perfect for unwinding, promoting rest and easing stress after a long day.
Growers will appreciate its compact structure and dense buds, characteristic of indica varieties. Its manageable size and hardy nature make it suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation, for quality harvests with ease.
Siberian Strain Effects

People often praise its terpene profile, with earthy, herbal and woody notes. Effects vary from person to person.
Siberian Strain Flowering Time
Siberian has a flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks, striking an excellent balance between speed and quality, with bountiful harvests and no extended wait.
Its genetics ensure robust growth, with plants producing dense, resin-coated buds. Siberian adapts well to various cultivation methods, an excellent option for growers after reliable results and premium-quality flowers in a relatively short cycle.
How to grow Siberian strain?
Siberian seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions. The plants are compact, robust, hardy and moderately easy to grow, though it is always worth guarding against pests. A few methods help retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your buds:
- Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
- In our customers’ experience with Siberian, good technique can increase yields by up to 20%.
For indoor cultivation, we advise wide, vertical spaces and the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and build up the lower flowers. Feed quality nutrients through the seedling, vegetative and flowering stages. Outdoors, choose a spot with the most direct sunlight; indoors, set up good tents, fabric pots, LED lighting, an air extractor and a carbon filter.
Keep daytime temperatures between 68 and 80 ℉, and night temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. These plants prefer low humidity: 55 to 60% in the vegetative phase, around 40% in flowering, and down to 30% by harvest.
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, sow in April for a harvest in mid-October, at about 19.4 oz per plant (550 g). Indoors, the cycle runs 8 to 10 weeks with yields of 0.98 to 1.15 oz/ft² (300 to 350 g/m²).
Ideal Climate for Growing
Siberian flourishes in a temperate climate with mild summers and cool, dry autumns. The ideal range is 65 to 80 ℉ (18 to 27 ℃), which promotes healthy growth and robust yields. It prefers well-draining soil and moderate humidity to prevent mold and mildew, and it thrives with abundant sunlight, which boosts the plant’s photosynthetic efficiency and overall health.
In the United States, perfect states include Washington, Oregon, Colorado and California, where the climate aligns with its needs, while New York, Michigan and Massachusetts also offer suitable conditions. Planted in these states, Siberian delivers optimal growth, letting you reap the full benefits of this hardy variety for an impressive harvest.
What does the strain smell like?
The buds of Siberian are rock-hard, soaked in resin and often carry a crystalline sheen from the sheer amount of trichomes. On the palate it blends a deep, earthy base with herbal, woody notes and a hint of pine, the Afghani and Black Domina character coming through clearly.
Siberian makes for a smooth, soft smoke and a strong, relaxing experience. Thanks to its heavy resin production, it is also an ideal strain for high-quality extracts and concentrates that capture its earthy, woody profile.
Experiencing the strain
With a Medium THC of 12% to 19%, Siberian brings a happy, deeply relaxed and sleepy state of body and mind. It leaves you calm and at ease, settling into a comfortable, heavy body, perfect for the evening after a long day.
It is a mostly indica plant with a sturdy main stem that supports its satellite branches. It grows well indoors or outdoors, with a similar production and a higher yield when it gets full outdoor sunshine.

Siberian Strain terpenes
Siberian carries an eleven-terpene profile that shapes both its earthy, herbal-woody aroma and its heavy, sleepy, body-forward high, with four terpenes doing most of the work.
Myrcene is the heart of the profile, a ripe, earthy-musky note that grounds the aroma and gives the smoke its weight. It is widely associated with a deeply relaxing, sedative quality.
Caryophyllene adds a warm, peppery spice that reads as the herbal depth of the aroma. It is the one terpene that interacts with the body’s CB2 receptors and is widely tied to calming, anti-inflammatory properties.
Humulene brings an earthy, woody, faintly hoppy character that carries much of the strain’s woody flavor and echoes the Caryophyllene. It is commonly linked to anti-inflammatory and grounding qualities, deepening the strain’s heavy, settled character and the joint-focused relief.
Borneol contributes a cooling, camphorous note with a herbal edge, long associated with a sedative, tension-easing quality.
Rounding out the profile, Eucalyptol adds a fresh, minty-herbal lift, Bisabolol and Phytol soft, soothing floral-balsamic notes, Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Pinene a touch of pine and clarity, and Alpha-Phellandrene and Valencene subtle peppery, fruity-sweet accents that complete the aroma.
