History and origins of 3x filtered

Hash is one of the oldest hemp derivatives, traditionally produced by sieving dried cannabis flowers, notably in North Africa and India.

By beating the plants over a stretched cloth, growers recovered the trichomes, small resinous glands rich in cannabinoids and terpenes. Once pressed, these trichomes became the famous hashish.

Over time, the process was perfected. In the 1980s, the invention of the pollinator, a rotating machine inspired by a washing-machine drum, made it possible to separate trichomes more efficiently using centrifugal force.

Sieves then became increasingly precise, ranging from 190 to 25 microns, to isolate only the purest resin. At the same time, bubble bags and other water extraction systems appeared, bringing even greater finesse to the sorting.

3x filtered is the heir to this evolution: it combines several stages of sieving through different gauges to keep only the richest, cleanest trichomes while eliminating as much plant matter as possible.

Production of 3x through triple sieving

Production involves a three-step sieving process, with each step using a progressively finer mesh.

1. First sifting: The dried hemp flowers are passed through a coarse sieve of approximately 150–190 microns. This step removes the largest particles: stem fragments, leaves and plant debris. The large trichomes are collected.
2. Second sifting: The material from the first pass goes through an intermediate screen with a mesh size of between 70 and 120 microns. The selection is refined by removing lower-quality trichomes and any remaining plant debris, and the material becomes more uniform.
3. Third sifting: The final step uses a fine sieve of between 25 and 70 microns, which lets through only the smallest, densest trichomes – those with the highest concentration of cannabinoids and terpenes. The result is a pure trichome powder, which is then pressed to form the final resin.

Each step gradually removes impurities. The final resin has an oily texture and is dark brown on the outside and lighter on the inside – a hallmark of the triple-filtering process. CBD levels reach 21% and CBG levels 23%, making this hash one of the most concentrated varieties available in France.
