Candy Island Feminized

Descripción

Candy Island is a variety created by James Loud Genetics, a Californian seed bank recognized for its genetic selection protocols and rigorous quality controls. Built upon some of the most expressive aromatic profiles from the Banana universe and the genetic weight of the Z lineage, this variety sparks special interest among both beginner growers and producers focused on concentrate extraction. Candy Island feminized seeds are now available at Alchimia.

Genetics: Banana Z x ZBX

Candy Island is born from the cross between Banana Z (composed of Zkittlez and Banana OG with Banana Punch) and ZBX as the male parent. This pairing fuses the fruity and creamy expressiveness of the Banana lines with the aromatic intensity characteristic of the Z lineage. Its hybrid nature gives rise to a certain ambiguity that reflects its condition as a complex hybrid. Added to this is a notable phenotypic variability: each specimen can express its own nuances within the shared aromatic profile, turning each grow into a selection opportunity.

Growing: manageable, tall stature, and designed for extraction

Indoors, Candy Island completes its flowering in 63 days (9 weeks), with high height development due to its flowering stretch, a factor to consider when planning available space. Production is at a medium level, although the quality of the harvested material and its extraction potential more than compensate. The open structure of its buds favors both ventilation during cultivation and subsequent processing oriented toward concentrates. James Loud Genetics classifies it as suitable for beginner growers, making it an accessible option without sacrificing top-tier genetics. Outdoors it grows vigorously and production increases, with harvest during the first 10 days of October.

As added value, all Loud Seeds varieties go through a tissue culture program with PCR testing for viruses, viroids, and pathogen indexing, and each genotype has a Certificate of Analysis (COA) verified by third parties, accessible via QR code.

Aromas, flavors, and effects

Candy Island’s aromatic profile is one of its most distinctive hallmarks. Notes of banana candy dominate over a background of ripe tropical fruit to which the ZBX parent adds characteristic gas notes that provide depth and contrast. Phenotypic variability manifests here as well: depending on the specimen, the balance between sweetness and gas can lean one way or another, making the selection process especially interesting. On the palate, the experience is consistent with the aroma, with a creamy entry of banana candy and ripe fruit, and an exhale where gas and tropical fruit combine memorably.

Candy Island’s effects respond to its hybrid nature: very balanced and relaxing in character, without being incapacitating. An experience that invites disconnection while maintaining some functionality, suitable for the end of the day or moments of active calm.
