AutoPot AQUAvalve5 for power-free, responsive plant watering

The AutoPot AQUAvalve5 is the central water-control valve used in current AutoPot watering systems. It automatically regulates the flow of water or nutrient solution into the tray without requiring electricity, pumps, timers or mains water pressure. This makes it suitable as a replacement valve, for system extensions or when building an AutoPot setup based on 9 mm pipework.

Automatic gravity-fed water control

The AQUAvalve5 connects to a reservoir positioned above the growing trays. Gravity carries water to the valve, while its two floats control when the supply is opened and closed. The tray is filled and the valve only allows another watering cycle once the available solution has been used. This provides passive irrigation without continuously running equipment.

5 mm inlet for improved flow

Compared with the previous AQUAvalve, the AQUAvalve5 features an enlarged 5 mm inlet. AutoPot specifies this as 66% larger than the earlier design. The wider inlet increases flow and filling speed while reducing the risk of blockages. The valve can be used with mineral nutrients as well as compatible organic liquid fertilisers.

Designed for current 9 mm AutoPot systems

The AQUAvalve5 is intended for AutoPot installations using 9 mm pipe and matching 9 mm fittings. It is used throughout current AutoPot 1Pot watering systems. Matching tubing, connectors, filters and replacement components are available in the AutoPot accessories range. If you are upgrading an older 6 mm system, check which pipework, grommets or openings need to be adapted before installation.
