BioTabs Bactrex – support your root zone with beneficial microorganisms

BioTabs Bactrex is an organic soil improver for growers who want to introduce beneficial microorganisms into their growing medium. Applied through watering, the soluble powder supports biological activity around the roots. It is suitable for soil and coco, indoors or outdoors, in containers or for plants growing directly in the ground.

What Bactrex contains and how it works

The blend combines Bacillus bacteria, actinomycetes and Trichoderma fungi with yucca extract, organic catalysts and humic acid. Its microorganisms help break down organic matter and make the nutrients it contains available to plants. Bactrex therefore complements organic feeding by supporting life in the growing medium.

How to apply and dose Bactrex

For general use, dissolve 1 g of Bactrex per litre of water. For cuttings and seedlings, moisten the growing medium with the solution, wetting its surface completely. For established plants, repeat this general application every two weeks. Mix only what you need and use the solution within six hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Within the complete BioTabs system, Bactrex is also applied alongside BioTabs Orgatrex. Follow the doses and timings in the relevant feeding schedule rather than adding the general fortnightly treatment on top.

Using Bactrex alongside Mycotrex

Bactrex and BioTabs Mycotrex serve different roles. Mycotrex supplies mycorrhizal fungi, which form a mutually beneficial relationship with plant roots. Bactrex adds beneficial soil bacteria and Trichoderma fungi. They are used together in the BioTabs system rather than as like-for-like alternatives.

Choosing between 50 g, 250 g and 1000 g

At a rate of 1 g per litre, the 50 g, 250 g and 1000 g packs make 50, 250 and 1000 litres of solution respectively. These calculated quantities refer to the prepared solution, not the volume of growing medium that can be treated.
