BioTabs Mycotrex – mycorrhizal support for water and nutrient uptake

BioTabs Mycotrex is an organic soil conditioner that introduces beneficial mycorrhizal fungi to your plants’ root zone. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers working with soil or coco, it supports access to water and nutrients. You can use it indoors or outdoors, whether you grow in containers or plant directly into the ground.

Nine mycorrhizal species to extend root reach

Mycorrhizal fungi can form a symbiotic association with compatible plant roots, creating a partnership between plant and fungus. Their fine threads grow into the substrate and extend the reach of the root system, helping plants access water and nutrients from a wider area. Alongside spores from nine endomycorrhizal species, the blend contains beneficial rhizobacteria, seaweed meal and humic acids.

How to apply Mycotrex in the planting hole

When transplanting into the final pot, sprinkle 5 g of Mycotrex into each planting hole before placing the plant. This positions the product directly in the root zone. For an optional pre-growing stage in propagation pots, the BioTabs growing schedule specifies 1 g per planting hole. These amounts apply to each planting hole, not to a litre of irrigation water.

Using Mycotrex alongside Startrex and Bactrex

Each product has a distinct role in the BioTabs system. Mix BioTabs Startrex for substrate preparation into the soil, then place Mycotrex in the planting hole. Apply BioTabs Bactrex for watering in through the irrigation water. Follow the BioTabs growing schedule for subsequent feeding and the use of complementary products.

Choose a pack size to suit your planting plans

Mycotrex comes in 100 g, 500 g and 2000 g packs. At 5 g per application, these provide enough product for 20, 100 or 400 planting holes respectively. These calculated figures exclude any additional product used during an earlier pre-growing stage.
